Your Dream & Aspirations

Your DreamThat strong and fervent desire to achieve a specific goal in your life – desire which might be burning in your heart from your childhood – may be a call from your destiny. Along with the hope to see it fulfilled, it expresses itself through dreams and aspirations which are a reflection of your natural need to manifest all that you can possibly be, do and have in life.

“A dream is the seed of possibility planted in the soul of a human being , which calls him to pursue a unique path to the realization of his purpose.” Sharon Hull cited by John C. Maxwell in Put Your Dream to The Test

You have, like any other human being, a natural need to realize your own potential to the maximum, to fully actualize what you potentially are. A. Maslow qualified this need as a need of self-actualization, and placed it on the top of his pyramid-model of humans’ needs.

Like a hungry man, motivated by the desire to satisfy his need for food, may think of and mentally picture a particular meal, your dreams and aspirations represent your expectations from life, what you would like to be, do and have in life. “Dreams are birthed from hopes, desires and possibilities. They are the products of imagination and creativity.”

But most importantly, what you have to know is that your dreams and aspirations are related to your need of self-actualization, and as Myles Munroe states it, they are visual manifestations of your purpose, seeds of destiny planted in the soil of your imagination.
